Web Design/Graphic Design Terms Of Service (Updated 15th February 2018)
#1. New client questionnaire
Important: I am currently unable to offer my services to customers in EU countries.
Once you have filled in the new client questionnaire form located here, I will respond via email and ask you for a suitable time and day to have our free 30-minute consultation. (You’ll find more information below under “Communication”).
My website design rate is $50 per hour/£39 GBP per hour.
Our 30-minute consultation can take place via Skype video or Slack.
I also use #slack to communicate with my clients and any team members that you wish to add to your design project.
Slack is great for keeping everyone in the loop on progress being made on a project. I would recommend you download this app on your desktop or mobile device.
Updates on website development are submitted once per week on Slack, also.
Please note: I prefer not to use Skype video to communicate with my clients on work progress as this takes up too much of my time. If your inquiry is urgent, you can book a Skype call with me for an additional fee. This fee will be added to the total amount of your web design project cost.
#3. Deposits, payments & deadlines
Once we’ve had our Free initial 30-minute consultation together, I will email you a copy of the design project contract shortly after.
If you are happy with everything in the contract, you are required to sign it and return it to me within 14-days of receiving it.
If you were provided with a “written quote in the design contract”, please be aware that the quote is simply an ‘estimate of cost’ and can vary.
Quotes do not take into account the number of revisions requested to be made to your site project upon completion, or extra work required to complete the project.
A written quote is based on the details YOU provide at the time of submitting your consultation form.
Deposit required (If applicable)
For smaller projects (Under $1,000), a $250 none-refundable deposit is required before work can commence on your web design project.
For larger projects ($2,000 and over), a $500 none-refundable deposit is required before work can commence on your web design project.
Once I’ve received your deposit and signed project contract, I will begin blocking out times to work on your website project.
You will be emailed a digital invoice via the Wave App for every 10-hours of blocked-out work completed on your website.
(Example: $50 x first 10-hours completed = $500 invoiced and amount due. (Minus the deposit you paid). $50 x second block of 10 hours completed = $500, and so forth)
Important note: If you have a ‘realistic’ deadline to meet for your project, you need to state this clearly in the “provide more information” field in the New Client Questionnaire form. Please do not submit a project, or inform me that you have a deadline to meet after you’ve signed the project contract. I like to know in advance so that I can ensure to block-out adequate amounts of time, and don’t take on more projects during that time.
#4. Turn around time
Generally, turn around time depends on the scope of work required, however, I aim to complete small to medium sized projects within 6 to 8 weeks. Larger projects can take up to 10 to 12 weeks or more.
#5. Revisions, ongoing work
If for any reason your project takes longer than the time estimated for completion, i.e. ongoing work, multiple revisions required or requested, additional pages, services etc. I will simply continue billing you at my normal hourly rate. See above for hourly rate details.
#6. WordPress Website maintenance and diagnostics services
If you are contacting me with regards to an issue you’re experiencing with your WordPress website, my website maintenance and diagnostics service fee is $25 per hour.

Once I receive your email I’ll get back to you as soon as possible.
Due to the nature of the services that I provide, refunds are not available.

What type of website can you create for me?
I work primarily with bloggers, entrepreneurs, solopreneurs, consultants, authors, public speakers, podcasters, creative people, video marketers (vloggers), and niche marketers.
My web design services are also available to local ‘small businesses’ such as restaurants, coffee shops, tradespeople, health and beauty businesses, and individuals, local artists and musicians.
Unfortunately, my website design services are NOT available to real estate companies (Estate Agents or individuals), betting or gambling agencies, adult-themed companies or agencies, or eLearning companies.

Can you create an eCommerce website for me?
My first online business venture was in eCommerce, so absolutely yes, I would be more than happy to discuss your ideas for an eCommerce website.
What do I need to get started?
Ideally, you’ll already have purchased your domain name and some suitable web hosting. Since I work solely with WordPress, you’ll also have installed WordPress into your domain name.
If you haven’t done any of those things and would like some help, please check out this tutorial.
If you’d like me to create a WordPress installation for you, simply let me know when you submit your details in the consultation form.
How much will a custom website cost me?
This really depends on the scope of work required for your website. Prices vary from $1,200 up to $10,000 per project.
A typical 5-page website, for instance, can cost anywhere between $1,500 and $4,000.
A 10+ page website can cost anywhere between $4,500 and $10,000, and more for e-commerce websites.
How do I pay for my website?
Invoices are emailed out and due for payment after every 10-hours of contracted work has been completed on your website project. This will be stated in your website design agreement with me.
I send digital invoices via the Wave App and, or, payment requests via PayPal.
If I don’t like my website after it has been created, can I get a full refund?
No. Due to the nature of the work involved, refunds are not offered.
I can create as many revisions of your website until you are 100% happy with it. However, revisions are carried out at my normal design rate of $50 per hour.
How will you communicate with me?
After our initial Skype video call, I will continue to communicate with you and keep you updated on progress via email and the Slack App.
Can you create content/copy for my website?
Due to individual needs, I cannot create content for your website or for your blog, however, I can suggest and recommend a reliable content writer to help you with website content creation.
Will you optimize my website for the search engines? (apply SEO)
Yes, absolutely. Just let me know which keywords/phrases you’d like to rank for and I’ll make sure your site pages are optimized properly.
I will also make important site-wide and local SEO configurations to make sure your website performs at it’s best in the search engines.
Will my website be optimized for social media engagement and sharing?
Yes, I use and recommend Social Warfare plugin for adding social sharing buttons to your website.
Will my website have a blog installed?
Yes, absolutely, unless you otherwise state that your site does not need a blog.
I need a custom logo, custom graphics icons, and images for my site, can you help me with these?

Can you create a custom sales landing page or email capture page on my website?
Yes, I can, we can discuss your conversion goals in our initial consultation video/telephone call.
What about email contact forms, opt-in forms, pop-up forms, Exit-Intent forms, scroll-mats, etc?
I can design and build custom opt-in forms of most kinds for your website. In addition to this, I can also show you how to do simple A/B split testing of your forms, as well as show you how to view your opt-in metrics and conversion reports to help you increase conversions.
I can also create a custom contact form for your website’s contact page.

WordPress is the base platform that I work with. I also work with various themes and plugins that work with WordPress.
