Growth-Driven Design/Graphic Design Terms Of Service (Updated 1st February 2019)
#1. New client questionnaire
Important: We are currently unable to offer our online services to customers in EU countries.
Once you have submitted in a new client questionnaire form, I will respond via email usually within 24 hours to arrange a suitable time and day for us to have our free 30-minute consultation. (You’ll find more information below under “Communication”).
If you stated that your preferred method of communication is “Email”, then we will continue the engagement via email only.
Your 30-minute consultation with me can take place via Skype video, Email, or Slack.
The first 30 minutes is completely free, however, anything over this time, including additional meetings, Skype calls that are arranged after are subject to my hourly design fee. See below for fees.
I also like to use the #slack app to engage with my clients and any team members that are added to the design project.
Important note: I prefer not to use Skype video to communicate with my active clients as this takes up too much of my time. If, however, you would prefer to have weekly or bi-weekly (every two weeks) Skype calls aranged with me, please be aware that I do charge for my time.
#3. Fees, deposits, payments & deadlines
- Skype call meetings – $30 USD/ £22 GBP per hour.
- Growth-Driven Website Design – $40 USD / £30 GBP per hour.
- Graphic Design Services – $40 USD / £30 GBP per hour.
- Inbound Marketing and CRO services – $40 USD / £30 per hour.
After our initial 30-minute consultation or engagement via email, I will create a detailed design contract outlining a summary of the processes for each key stage of the Growth-Driven Design project, including an estimate of how much time each stage will take. This PDF contract will be emailed to you to review, sign, and return to me before the expiry date on the contract.
Once I receive your returned signed contract, I will email you an invoice via the Wave app for the 50% deposit required to kickstart the first two stages of the project.
You can choose to pay your online invoice securely using a Credit or Debit card. Payments are processed using Stripe. Please note that deposits are none-refundable.
#4. GDD (Growth-Driven-Design) Pricing structure
I aim to provide you with an accurate GDD quote, so it is important for me to learn as much as I can about your design project requirements, business goals, and website goals beforehand.
Here is a breakdown example of how I structure my GDD services:
- Meeting with the client for the first time to discuss the project. Free 30 minutes, and an additional 2 chargeable hours.
- Agreed 30 hours of strategizing (1 hour per day for 30 working days), and after, 90 hours for designing the launchpad website (1.5 hours per day for 60 working days) – $4,800 quote at $40 per hour.
- Deposit paid 50% = $2,400
- Final amount paid when launchpad website goes live = $2,400
- Continuous improvement stage begins after launch, with agreed 1 hour per working day for the duration of 6 months (20 hours per month) – $800 per month quote.
- Total price paid for GDD web design retainer – $9,600.
A 50% deposit is required before the strategizing and launchpad website design stage begins.
Important note: Please note that although I do take deadlines into consideration, my Growth-Driven Design Services focus on driving results and promoting growth of your website, and not on deliverables. I aim to get a launcpad website live withing 30 to 60 days depending on the scope of the project.
#5. Turn around time
Generally, turn around time, again, depends on the scope of work required and outlined during the Strategy Stage, however, we aim to have a Launchpad website ready between 30 and 60 days from the initial kick-off meeting.
Read our GDD information page for more details.
Due to the nature of the services that I provide, refunds are not available.
If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to email me or Samantha at firstname.lastname@example.org

Can you create an eCommerce website for me?
I run an eCommerce business as a second venture, so absolutely yes! I would be more than happy to discuss your ideas for an eCommerce website.
I have extensive knowledge and experience with setting up WordPress in an e-commerce environment, as well as WooCommerce integration, online payment setup and configuration, product management, and more.
What do I need to get started?
Ideally, you’ll already have purchased your domain name and some suitable web hosting. Since I work primarily with WordPress, you’ll also have installed WordPress into your domain name.
If you haven’t done any of those things above and would like some help, please check out this tutorial.
If you’d like me to create a WordPress installation for you, simply let me know when you submit your details in the consultation form.
How much will a custom website cost me?
This really depends on the scope of work required for your project. Please view an example of my Growth-Driven Design price structure above.
How do I pay for my website?
I use the Wave App to send out invoices and Stripe to collect payments online.
If I don’t like my website after it has been created, can I get a full refund?
Due to the nature of the work involved, refunds are not available for any of my services.
How will you communicate with me?
After our initial Skype video call, I will continue to communicate with you and keep you updated on progress either via email or the Slack App.
We can also arrange to have additional Skype meetings, though I do charge for my time.
Can you create content/copy for my website?
Due to individual needs, I cannot create content for your website or for your blog. However, I can refer you to an experienced and certified content writer to help you with specific website content creation.
Will you optimize my website for the search engines? (apply SEO)
Yes, absolutely. We can go over the details during the Strategy Stage of the design process.
Will my website be optimized for social media engagement and sharing?

You will need to have this plugin available in your WordPress site yourself, however, I can help you configure and optimize your opt-in forms properly. We can go over the details during the Strategy Stage of the design process.
