I don’t believe that investing in website design should be an expensive, time-consuming, and stressful process for businesses or individuals. It should be an exciting, enjoyable, and rewarding journey, knowing that you are taking the most critical step forward to expand the growth of your business.
So, let me begin with saying:
You need a new website.
Well, because, frankly, either the one you have right now is doing very little to promote the growth of your business. Or, worst-case scenario, you don’t even have a website.
I hope the latter is not the case, however, here’s something frighteningly interesting:
According to SmartCompany, half of all small businesses still don’t have a website.
I’m not surprised at all, personally.
Unfortunately, many small business owners think that getting a website is too expensive, far too time-consuming, and unproductive.
If you’re one of those individuals or businesses, I know how you feel.
- You don’t want to be put off by huge upfront costs.
- You don’t want to be waiting around for months and months for a new website to roll out.
- And, when the new website finally does launch, you don’t want to discover that it hasn’t impacted your business, in a positive way, one single bit.
If you’ve ever been disappointed in the past with a new website design, or website redesign project, even after waiting months for it to be completed, then you have been the victim of what is called a broken traditional website design method.
Here at Magnet4Blogging Media, we don’t believe that the traditional method of website design works…
Well, OK, maybe we used to think it worked once, that was up until we discovered how much it sucked for us, and most importantly, how much it sucked for our web design clients.
We proudly use a more effective web design method called Growth-Driven Design.
Why is the old traditional web design method broken?
But wait, you say:
What is wrong with the old method of web design?
There are 4 main reasons why the old traditional method of website design is broken.
- It’s expensive, as I mentioned earlier it requires huge upfront costs.
- It takes a huge amount of time and resources, and everyone’s patience is limited.
- And, what you end up with, “eventually”, is a website designed based on assumptions and guesswork.
- Plus, the “set and forget” approach to traditional website design will leave you with zero options for continued improvements.
Essentially, what all this means is that you end up with a website design, or redesign, that’s completely out of scope, over budget, and launched way past its deadline.
As a business owner, not only have you wasted your time, money and energy, but you’ve also missed out on crucial opportunities to attract new leads, customers, and sales to your business.
Frustrating stuff, right?
Why and how is Growth-Driven Design more effective?
Growth-Driven Design (GDD for short) is a smarter and more effective approach to website design, and here are a few reasons why –
- GDD reduces frustration and risks for your business.
- GDD drives results based on real user-data analysis and not on assumptions and guesswork.
- GDD will improve your business overall, promote growth and drive results much quicker than traditional website design.
Take a look at the infographic below carefully, you can compare the impact that GDD has compared to traditional website design over time.
So, how does Growth-Driven Design work?
The GDD methodology is broken up into three key stages –
- Strategy stage.
- Launchpad stage.
- Continuous improvement stage.
Let me explain how we use these three key stages when offering GDD WordPress website design services here at Magnet4Blogging Media –
1. The Strategy Stage
Probably the most crucial step in the Growth-Driven Design engagement is the Strategy stage.
Before we begin designing or even building any kind of WordPress website for our clients, we take the opportunity in the Strategy stage to really learn more about our client’s business and website goals.
If a website is already in existence for our client (a redesign request is made), we also take this opportunity to learn more about the current state of the website, including target audience, user experience, and what journey the customer is taking to reach the website’s desired goal.
The more we can learn about our client’s business, the website goals, the customer’s journey, what problems the website is or aims to solve, what new building blocks to include in the design or redesign process, the smarter and quicker we will be at creating a beautiful and conversion ready launchpad website.
2. The Launchpad Stage
We aim to have a launchpad website ready for our client usually within 60 to 90 days. In most cases, and depending on the scope of the project, in much less time than this.
Creating a launchpad website requires us to take everything we discussed with our client during the “All-Important” key Strategy Stage.
Although we aim to build a launchpad website fairly quickly, our goal is to create one that not only looks smart but also performs at it’s best.
During the launchpad website design stage, we will continue to engage and communicate with our client to ensure that the website design project remains in scope, and whether any additional building blocks are to be included in the launchpad website design.
Once we have as many things as possible locked in place, the Launchpad website goes live.
3. The Continuous Improvement Stage
This is the next critical step in the Growth-Driven Design engagement process.
Once the launchpad website is live for the whole world to see, and collecting crucial user-data and metrics, we can then begin looking at ways in which to use high-impact actions to improve the website and to furthermore drive results and promote its growth.
As you will have probably guessed, the launchpad website is in no way the final product, but rather a foundation website on which we can continue building and optimizing on.
By continuously learning what visitors are doing on the launchpad website, including which pages they’re frequenting, how much time they’re spending on certain pages, and even which pages they’re leaving from, the better insight we will have, and smarter we will be at improving the website’s infrastructure, building in new products and services to improve the customer’s journey, thus improving the website and the business’s overall conversion rate.
If you’re at all wondering to yourself, why build a launchpad website and not just a “set and forget”, ready-to-roll website?
Here are three valid reasons why –
- There’s no such thing as the perfect website when designing, building, and launching a new website. Building a website to go live quickly allows us to collect valuable user-data and metrics so that we can make informed decisions on how and where to make improvements quickly.
- Since GDD requires lower upfront costs and time commitment, it is less risky than the traditional method of website design.
- You are getting a quicker time-to-value and ROI. See the infographic below to see how?
