Hi I'm Fabrizio Van Marciano, I'm the founder of Magnet4Blogging, and I'm here to help you start your blog the right way :)

Blogging has been around for many years now, but it’s grown quite popular in the last 10 years.
Blogging is no longer considered to be the pastime activity pursued only by elite celebrities and news journalists. Today, ordinary folks just like you and me are building successful and profitable businesses through blogging.
Today even existing brick and mortar businesses are turning to blogging to help them reach out to a wider audience, drive more customers and increase their bottom line.
So what is blogging really all about? Or more appropriately, what is the process of doing blogging?
Well for me doing blogging is having the ability to create super engaging content that is both useful (problem solving), and valuable (resourceful) for a specific target audience, not just in context form, but through other mediums too. For example, blogging can be marinated with video, images and graphics, infographics, audio content and podcasts, presentations and much more.
Whilst blogging is gaining a lot of momentum right now, there are still plenty of people who know nothing about it, let alone consider it to be a 'career option'.
When I started blogging properly myself in 2010, I had no idea that 6 years down the line I would be doing it full-time, earning a decent living from it.
If you're going to start a blog of any kind, you have to see the potential of it as a business venture, and not just as a means to pass your time, or to make some quick money on the internet, because that's not what blogging is.
It's so easy to see the outside polished effects of what some people have been able to achieve with blogging, but the reality is, much hard work, dedication and making many mistakes along the way is required before you find success in blogging.
So here's what you need to know and appreciate:
So before we get you on your way to building your first blog, you first need to understand what a blog actually is. Especially if you're starting completely from rock bottom. It's so important to familiarise yourself with the very basics from day one.
A blog is very similar to that of a website, however they are different. A website contains static pages with information about products or services, where almost zero interaction takes place. In other words, no one engages on a website with static content. Most people and businesses just have a website, but this is changing very fast. In other words, more businesses are incorporating a blog into their website.
A blog on the other hand contains both static pages and date stamped pages known as blog posts. These blog posts can be updated regularly and at any time. Interaction between the blogger (blog author) and visitor usually takes place on the blog. Blogs can be extremely informative and educational. If you have a business of any kind, be it online or brick and mortar, a blog can help you connect with the right people in your business, build solid relationships and increase your bottom line.
To get your blog up and running, you will need three critical things:
The web hosting provider that I currently use and trust is SiteGround. Before SiteGround I was using BlueHost. However in my most humble opinion, the quality of Bluehost's service has declined over the years (read more here). SiteGround on the other hand has been my top choice since moving over to them over a year ago. SiteGround offers reliable and affordable web hosting with 99% uptime. Plus their customer and technical support is unrivalled.
With a shared hosting package from SiteGround Web Hosting, you get 1 FREE domain name registration. Installing WordPress inside your SiteGround cPanel is as simple as 'clicking a button'. Click here to visit SiteGround.
