Thank you for purchasing a custom built homepage template from my Etsy Store. I’m sure you’re excited to get your template imported and installed into your WordPress site for all your visitors to see.
If you’re not too sure where to start, I created this page just for you.
I’ve tried to make this tutorial as simple as possible to follow, but if you get stuck please contact me using the contact page.
Let’s get to it.
What you will need
Here’s what you’ll need to have at the ready to make this successful.
- 1 x purchased homepage template zip file.
- Some web hosting.
- 1 x Active WordPress website with any theme installed.
- 1 x latest version of the Thrive Content Builder plugin, installed and activated. (Click here to get it if you don’t have it).
If you don’t yet have an active WordPress website, please click here to get started.
Make sure you have the template file in zip-format, and that it’s located somewhere accessible, such as your desk-top.
Step One: Log into your WordPress site and add new page, or edit your existing homepage.
Once you have logged into your WordPress dashboard, navigate to the page you want to edit and use the template on.
If you want to create a brand new page for this template, simply click Add New in pages. See images below.
- Add New page or…
- Click on a page you want to edit. In the photo above I’m using Test Page as an example.
Step Two: Launch Thrive Content Builder page editor.
Once you have Created and Saved your new page as draft, click on the Edit with Thrive Content Builder button inside the editor. See image below.
This will launch a new tab with the Thrive editor active on the front page. You are now editing front end.
Step Three: Load your template into the page
Click on Thrive Landing Pages drop down menu and select Import Landing Page. See image below.
Now find your purchased template zip-file on the desktop, and drag and drop it into your media file. See image below.
Once your template is uploaded, select it and hit the Import File button. See image below.
The page will load and your new template will be live. See image below.
Go back to your WordPress editor page tab, click on the Edit with Thrive Content Builder plugin button again. This will launch TCB front-end editor in a new tab once again, and you can customise the template to your liking.
You can delete the top part of this template as you don’t need it.
That’s it you’re all done. Enjoy!
